General Summary: The Software Test Engineer will play a critical role in testing Qualcomm Sensing Hub features for various Qualcomm products. The position includes test planning, test case development, execution, and hands-on testing in both lab and field settings. Key Responsibilities: Test Development & Execution: Develop test cases and execute testing for Qualcomm Sensing Hub features. Conduct hands-on testing with mobile/handheld devices in labs and field environments. Automation Development: Create automation modules for sensor testing using C# and Python. Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks. Debugging & Issue Resolution: Analyze and isolate issues across software modules, test frameworks, or hardware. Collaborate with global teams to resolve issues and support debugging in embedded targets. Sensor Testing & Calibration: Verify and calibrate sensors in embedded hardware. Test and validate communication between devices embedding Qualcomm Sensing Hub. Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with engineering teams to integrate new testing methodologies. Gain a detailed understanding of Qualcomm Sensing Hub software, hardware, and embedded architectures. Minimum Qualifications: Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of experience. OR Master s degree with 1+ year of experience. OR PhD in a related field. Work Experience: 1+ year of work or academic experience with software/system testing and automation tools. 4-6 years of experience testing embedded systems and developing automated test cases/frameworks. Technical Skills: Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Java. Experience with Android application programming. Knowledge of debugging embedded systems and isolating issues. Familiarity with Qualcomm test tools (Axiom, QXDM, QDSS, etc.) and DIAG implementation. Exposure to sensors (e.g., inertial, pressure, ambient light) and related test equipment. Other Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment. Basic understanding of radios, audio, camera features, and related test procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Master s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Previous experience with Linux Embedded, Linux Android, and Windows mobile devices. Familiarity with oscilloscope usage for debugging hardware and validating signals. Experience in modem, WiFi, Bluetooth, and location technologies testing.
