Overview: The Service Management Team at RTX is working on a high-profile enterprise-wide project to move their ServiceNow platform into a consolidated, singular solution. This project recently went live and is transitioning from the hyper-care phase into defect handling and QA work. The Senior ServiceNow Developer will be integral to the ongoing success of this consolidation, supporting development, integrations, testing, and further enhancements. Primary Responsibilities: Solution Development & Integration: Develop solutions in the RTX ServiceNow platform, focusing on modules, workflows, and integration possibilities based on business requirements. Implement and maintain custom applications within ServiceNow, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise applications. Business Process Analysis & Improvement: Review and understand client-specific processes, identify areas for improvement, and design solutions that improve results, processes, and data to meet stakeholder expectations. Development & Testing: Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules, client scripts, UI pages, actions, policies, scheduled jobs, import sets, transform maps, ACLs, and notifications. Perform end-to-end development across all ServiceNow modules, ensuring functionality aligns with business goals and best practices. Handle migration activities (Dev to QA, QA to Prod) and coordinate ServiceNow upgrades and service pack installations. Documentation & Reporting: Develop necessary technical and project documentation, including project plans, technical designs, developer notes, and user manuals. Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide technical expertise to ensure ServiceNow meets organizational requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate testing and deployment schedules. Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Senior ServiceNow Developer, including experience with ServiceNow consolidations in large enterprise environments. Extensive experience with JavaScript, JQuery, Prototype, and Jelly scripting within ServiceNow. Proficiency with web technologies, including APIs, CSS, XML, HTML, and Webservices. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ITIL practices and how they provide value through service lifecycle management. Hands-on experience with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), including Requirements Analysis, Design, Installation, Development, Testing (application code and user acceptance), and Deployment. Nice to Have: Certifications: Certified ServiceNow Administrator. ServiceNow Developer Certification. ITIL Certification. Additional Skills: Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and Service Catalog Development.
