Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of mechanical pump systems for automotive applications (fuel, oil, water). Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD designs using Creo; manage design data using PLM systems. Support prototype builds and testing at bench and vehicle levels. Conduct FEA and CFD simulations to optimize performance, durability, and design integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Coordinate with suppliers for component feasibility, tooling, and manufacturing processes (die casting, plastic injection, etc.). Prepare BOMs, perform cost estimations, and explore opportunities for cost reduction. Manage product validation, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions effectively. Interact with customers to gather requirements, conduct design reviews, and provide technical support. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and drive continuous improvement in design quality and cost efficiency. Technical Expertise Required: Strong understanding of Fuel Pump, Oil Pump, and Water Pump design principles. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools Creo preferred. Experience with aluminium die casting, pressure casting, plastic injection moulding, and gravity casting (GI). Skilled in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMA). Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and PLM/SAP systems.
