Role Overview We are seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. Your mission will be to build a scalable, flexible, and secure cloud-native deployment platform while automating tasks and emphasizing reusability. You'll work with cutting-edge infrastructure tools to deliver a seamless deployment experience for developers. Objectives Model large, complex systems on modern cloud platforms using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to ensure performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Adopt and implement Configuration as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps tools like FluxCD. Deploy comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure near 100% uptime. Design secure infrastructures by adhering to the Principle of Least Privilege and safeguard data from internal and external threats. Embrace and promote a DevSecOps mindset within the team. Key Responsibilities Plan, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various services. Efficiently containerize workloads and deploy them at scale using Docker and Kubernetes. Continuously optimize infrastructure for efficiency and cost. Monitor application and infrastructure uptime, error rates, and anomalies, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. Keep cloud servers (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean) secure and up-to-date. Document and guide developers on effectively utilizing tools and infrastructure. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to foresee and address potential system design issues proactively. Strong grasp of cloud-native infrastructure concepts and tools, including: Containers and Orchestrators: Docker, Kubernetes Continuous Delivery: FluxCD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Concourse CI Configuration as Code: GitOps, FluxCD, Terraform, Ansible Detailed understanding of networks, protocols, and system architecture.
