Role Purpose: The Oracle Database Administrator will provide deep technical expertise in architecture planning, design, and management of database environments, including platform, middleware, and backup operations. This role also involves overseeing day-to-day database operations to ensure optimal performance and availability. Key Responsibilities: Manage and administer Oracle databases including versions 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c on Unix and Windows platforms. Install, configure, and administer Oracle RAC environments. Monitor and manage Exadata and GoldenGate setups for high availability and replication. Perform Oracle backup and recovery operations using RMAN. Execute database cloning, refreshes, migrations, and upgrades. Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions such as Data Guard. Set up ASM and manage migration processes to ASM. Handle patch management including PSU, CPU, and one-off patches. Utilize tools such as Toad, OEM, and SQL*Plus for database management and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring. Apply strong troubleshooting and performance tuning expertise. Manage incidents and changes as per process guidelines. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DBAs during critical tasks. Collaborate effectively across multiple geographies and time zones. Be flexible and willing to work in shifts as needed. Secondary Skills: Experience with OEM, GoldenGate, and third-party database management tools. Strong customer interaction and team management skills. Oracle certification is mandatory. Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB is a plus. Team Management: Forecast and fulfill talent needs to support business goals. Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members. Role Purpose: This role provides significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design within the designated tower (platform, database, middleware, backup, etc.) and manages its day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Support architecture planning, migration, and installation for new projects in your assigned tower (platform/database/middleware/backup). Lead structural and architectural design to create scalable, extensible solutions based on system requirements. Conduct technology capacity planning to meet current and future demands. Leverage new technology features to ensure smooth operation of databases, applications, and platforms. Strategize and implement disaster recovery and backup/recovery plans. Utilize automation and other technologies to develop Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. Team Management: Resourcing Forecast and hire talent based on current and future business needs. Train direct reports in recruitment and selection best practices. Talent Management Ensure onboarding and training compliance to enhance team capability. Build a talent pipeline of high-potential employees and support their career growth. Promote diversity in leadership roles. Performance Management Set clear goals and conduct timely reviews, appraisals, and provide constructive feedback. Encourage team participation in organizational programs like Performance Nxt. Employee Satisfaction and Engagement Lead initiatives to boost team engagement and satisfaction.
