Role Overview We re looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building fast, scalable, and secure backend systems. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic and infrastructure powering our mobile POS solution. This is a full-time role based out of our Noida office, and it requires someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop robust backend services and APIs that power mobile and web applications. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features. Own features end-to-end from concept to production and post-launch maintenance. Build, test, deploy, and maintain applications on cloud platforms. Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and security of all backend systems. Troubleshoot and debug application issues and identify bottlenecks in performance. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Perform peer code reviews and contribute to team best practices. Lead architecture and design discussions for backend systems and microservices. Continuously improve development processes, tools, and methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js and MySQL. Experience with PHP and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is a plus. Strong expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs. Working knowledge of web server management (e.g., Nginx, Tomcat) and cloud infrastructure. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and services like EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS. Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Experience with microservices architecture and database design. Proficiency in Linux environments, including troubleshooting and log analysis. Familiarity with version control systems and branching strategies (e.g., Git). Experience with unit testing and maintaining high test coverage. Understanding of system design principles, including scalability and fault tolerance. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. High level of ownership, accountability, and a proactive attitude. Willingness to learn and experiment with new tools and technologies. Prior experience deploying and maintaining live cloud-based applications.
