QA Lead Full-Time - Bengaluru, India - Quality Assurance / Engineering Join our growing Quality Assurance / Engineering department in Bengaluru, India as a Full-Time QA Lead and take the helm of our quality assurance initiatives! We are seeking an experienced and proactive QA Lead to guide our talented team of QA engineers, spearheading the design and implementation of robust testing strategies and driving our test automation efforts. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality software products. As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of skilled QA engineers, providing invaluable technical guidance, conducting thorough code reviews, and offering constructive performance feedback. You will define, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies and detailed test plans across multiple concurrent projects. A key focus will be on driving the development and maintenance of sophisticated test automation frameworks utilizing industry-leading tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other key stakeholders to establish clear and measurable quality objectives and well-defined acceptance criteria. Your responsibilities will also include diligently monitoring and reporting on critical QA metrics, including test coverage, defect densities, and overall release quality. You will ensure the efficient and effective execution of a wide range of testing types, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing. Furthermore, you will oversee the entire bug lifecycle, from meticulous tracking to thorough root cause analysis and effective resolution, utilizing tools like Jira. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, promoting a strong sense of quality ownership, and championing agile testing practices within the team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of skilled QA engineers, providing expert technical guidance, conducting thorough code reviews, and offering constructive performance feedback. Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies and detailed test plans across multiple projects. Drive the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. Collaborate effectively with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define clear quality objectives and well-defined acceptance criteria. Monitor and report on key QA metrics, including test coverage, defect densities, and overall release quality. Ensure the efficient execution of functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, performance testing, and security testing. Oversee bug tracking, thorough root cause analysis, and efficient resolution processes using tools like Jira. Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement, proactive quality ownership, and effective agile testing practices. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or lead role. Strong foundational knowledge of core QA methodologies, relevant tools, and industry best practices. Hands-on experience with the development and implementation of test automation frameworks and relevant scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, strong organizational, and effective communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience working with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI. Familiarity with performance/load testing tools like JMeter or Gatling. Practical experience in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Possession of ISTQB certification or an equivalent QA certification is considered a significant plus.
