Node.js Developer

Key Responsibilities: Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js to support our web and desktop applications. API Development: Build and integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless communication between different application components. Database Management: Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL) to manage data effectively. System Design: Create and optimize backend architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to ensure the product aligns with organizational goals. End-to-End Development: Be involved in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis to deployment and maintenance of the product. Code Quality: Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality, maintainable code. Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve system performance and resolve any issues that arise in the backend. Required Skills & Expertise: Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Node.js development, including building and maintaining backend services and APIs. JavaScript Proficiency: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ES6+ syntax. API Development: Extensive experience in designing and implementing REST APIs for both internal and external use. Database Knowledge: Solid experience with SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases. Server-side Technologies: Understanding of Express.js and other Node.js frameworks. Version Control: Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development. OOP Principles: Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and applying them to development tasks. Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Desirable Skills: Full Stack Development: Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React.js, Angular.js) and an understanding of full-stack development. Cloud Services: Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus. Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest) to write unit and integration tests. Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile or SCRUM development environments. CI/CD Pipelines: Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices.
