Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:


Category Management:

Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy tailored for each channel, considering the unique dynamics of e-commerce marketplaces, offline stores, other distribution channels, and D2C.

Utilize deep market knowledge to curate and manage an expansive range of products, aligning with the distinct preferences of customers across different channels.

Market Intelligence:

Stay abreast of market trends, emerging consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes across all relevant channels.

Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities for new product introductions, differentiation, and optimization.

Product Expertise:

Demonstrate a profound understanding of various product categories, encompassing design elements, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products align with brand identity and resonate with target audiences.

Channel-specific Strategies:

Formulate channel-specific merchandising strategies, taking into account the nuances of each distribution channel.

Implement pricing strategies that are competitive, yet reflective of product value and market positioning.

Product Sourcing Dynamics:

Develop an understanding of the intricacies involved in sourcing products, collaborating closely with the sourcing team.

Leverage knowledge of potential sourcing avenues to drive product innovation and negotiate favorable terms for procurement.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions regarding product assortment, pricing, and inventory management.

Collaborate with the analytics team to extract actionable insights that drive category performance.

Skills and Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field. MBA is a plus.

- Proven experience in category management and merchandising, with a focus on diverse channels including e-commerce, offline retail, and D2C.

-In-depth knowledge of market trends, product categories, and consumer behavior.

-Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.

-Analytical mindset and proficiency in using data to drive strategic decisions.

-Demonstrated success in achieving financial targets and business objectives within a dynamic and evolving market.
