Job Summary:

The Lead / Principal scrum master is a team role responsible for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use. The responsibilities of this role include: Clearing obstacles, Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions. At 247.ai , a scrum master is a key member of each squad who works with all the stakeholders within and outside the squad to ensure we are upholding the agile culture and at the same time increasing the predictability of the deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, applied mathematics or engineering is required and Masters degree would be preferred.
• Minimum 10 - 13 years experience in software engineering, of which at least 5 - 7 years successfully performing Scrum Master Role.
• Certified SCRUM MASTER.
• Tools: Jira & Confluence
• Good to have experience working in Spotify Agile Model environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• The desired candidate should have a good knowledge of tenets of agile, driving and facilitating scrum ceremonies
• Should be able to drive the squads to meet the planned deliverables
• Work closely with the engineering and product management team for better management of squad priorities
• Good to have knowledge of Spotify Agile Model

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrum master is responsible for facilitating daily scrum ceremonies which include but not limited to daily stand up, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings, etc.
• Adopt and drive the defined processes for their squad
• Facilitating improvements and simplification in cross team workings and forums
• Responsible to remove the impediments for the scrum team.
• Owns interfacing with other functional areas/teams and resolving dependencies
• Call out early risks or issues impacting the schedules
• Communicate status and dates on cadence
• Helps product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint.
• Protect the team from external influences and drives the team to achieve the defined goal
• Facilitate Scrum of Scrums across the teams
• Provide Squad/ Scrum level reporting for required forums on cadence
• Facilitate Monthly Demos
• Align with agile coach to facilitate and drive coaching of the teams
