Reports to: Procurement Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities within the Procurement function, contributing to the success of the business. Every day, you will execute assigned activities in line with ABB standard procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering and participating in training programs as required to foster compliance and professional development.
This role is within ABB's Electrification Business, specifically in the Distribution Solution Division, based in Vadodara, India.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support business operations by optimizing costs, quality, and supplier reliability.
- Design and implement local sourcing plans and strategies to meet business targets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products/materials.
- Support the development and execution of local sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and address both current and future business needs.
- Apply and enforce procurement standards, tools, and processes within your responsibility area to ensure the quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability of products and services.

Qualifications for the Role:
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement in the switchgear industry.
- Experience in finding strategic suppliers, alternate part development, and collaborating with R&D teams for part development.
- Experience in price negotiations, terms and conditions, and material cost monitoring.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Control Relay Panel and Protection Relay Components.
- Education: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in English communication.
