As the Hub Business Line Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operations of the South Asia (incl. India), Middle East and Africa (SAMA) HBL within the Process Industries BL and will be reporting to the HBL Manager.

The solution portfolio of the Process Industry BL covers digitalization, automation, instrumentation, drives and electrification solutions for the Paper, Metals, Cement, Mining and Mineral Processing Process Industry sectors and for the Hybrid industries like Food & Beverage and Data Centers. We provide specialized process control solutions based on the ABB 800xA or Compact platforms, engineered MV and LV variable speed drive solutions and engineered electrification solutions starting from HV substations to LV power distribution including containerized eHouses. In the areas of digitalization, we specialize across the complete portfolio like KPI dashboarding, Cyber security services, advanced process control, asset management, data analytics, etc. We engage with our customer through the entire life cycle of their assets starting from early solution conceptualization through sales to execution followed by all kinds of basic and advanced life cycle services. In the execution phase, we provide engineering, project management, installation, site management and commissioning services.

Your responsibilities

• You will be accountable for achieving the operational business targets for the HBL. That includes revenues, profitability, cash, net working capital, productivity, operational excellence and safety. You will ensure that operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments. You will drive the project execution and performance management through project reviews; take an active role in resolving escalations; drive the contracts and claims management; and participate in the budgeting process. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. You will drive the Safety performance and culture along with the HBL HSE Manager.
• The Operation units within the LBLs viz. Project management, Engineering, Commissioning, Field services, Site management and Supply chain management will have a functional reporting to you. You will ensure that these functions are structured to best fit our business model and that they have the right capability, capacity and footprint and that they are future ready in line with our growth and innovation strategies. You will lead, coach and guide these teams to achieve our business objectives. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement that includes implementing leading edge digital technologies into our operational workflows.

Your background

• Required BE/B.Tech (Open for relevant background candidates).
• 20-25 years of experience.
• High level leadership and management experience with a strategic mindset, financial acumen and a strong technical flair.
• Good to have qualification: ABB Senior certified Project manager or Project Director.
• Candidate should be open for Country Residents or Expats: India and Expats.
