The solution portfolio of the Process Industry BL covers digitalization, automation, instrumentation, drives and electrification solutions for the Paper, Metals, Cement, Mining and Mineral Processing Process Industry sectors and for the Hybrid industries like Food & Beverage and Data Centers. Providing specialized process control solutions, engineered variable speed drive solutions and engineered electrification solutions. We engage with our customer through the entire life cycle of their assets starting from early solution conceptualization through sales to execution followed by basic and advanced life cycle services.
You will be reporting to Local Business Line Manager, Process Industries, India You will be leading the sales team consisting of the cluster teams (front end sales engineers or local account managers), market segment and the bids & proposals organization.
Your responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Creating plan and implementing sales strategy based on segment initiatives & strong drive through account management strategies.
- Sales Targets: Ensuring sales achievement through regular oversight, definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
- Customer Acquisition: Identifying opportunities with existing or new customers and determine plans for acquisition.
- Customer Relationship: Supporting the development of strong customer relationship with key customers and ensure impactful marketing communication.
- Process: Taking ownership of the sales process and adherence to internal controls.
- People Leadership: Leading by coaching and mentoring direct and indirect subordinates and set people development actions.
- Organization: Supporting the building of a robust Bids and Proposal organization that supports the Hub LBLs. Building a high-performance organization that is anchored on a strong backend and a front-end organization.
- Collaboration: Building strong interfaces with LBLs of IA and other businesses.
- Safety & Integrity: Living ABBs core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
- Required Graduate degree or equivalent in Engineering or MBA in Marketing & Sales.
- Required 20+ years of suitable sales experience.
- Required experience in, Systems Sales,Solutions Sales and Automation Sales.
- Electrification background can be also preferred.
- Strong relevant industry background.
