Job Summary



With Workday being a cloud-based solution, ABB-specific software developments are mostly integrations! Hence, this is a key role for Project Fusion.

This project role will end beginning 2023 and be continued to a permanent assignment in the post-project support team.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing the systems integration strategy, governance and framework together with the Project Fusion Technical Architect, the Workday Integration team and the Information Systems (IS) Enterprise Architecture (EA) team and the EA of the HR Domain. Ensuring implementation of the assigned integrations needed for the consistency, efficiency of the overall process and information integration between different applications global and local.
  • Holding close relationship and stay up to date regarding other (sub)projects and workstreams interdependent with the Workday integration to coordinate and plan accordingly. This includes the functional workstreams and the best-of-breed project within Project Fusion and non-Fusion projects happening in ABB (could be in HR or in business!).
  • Identifying required resources out of IS global and local and complement this with input from the functional workstream (connect both worlds ) and feed the outcome into the overall integration planning.
  • Owning integration design and implementation documentation in the Fusion project context to ensure quality and compliance with documentation guidelines, including audit compliance with internal controls over financial reporting (ICoFR), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regulations for access to and distribution of personal data within ABB.
  • Coordinating and monitoring day to day project work with all internal and external resources, i.e. project-manage the development of our portfolio of more than 100 interfaces from design to hypercare complying with defined in ABB practices and Workday methodology. Establishing the interface development reporting process and provide progress metrics to project management and steering committee.
  • Leading a team of integration analysts to accomplish all of the above. Resolving escalations from the Integration Specialists and others.
  • Assisting the functional teams in resolving data inconsistencies and anomalies. Assisting the functional and technical teams in planning the cutover and migration steps. Orchestrating all global and local contributors/stakeholders and participating in status meetings during rehearsals and cutover.
  • Ensuring auditable documentation of the integrations in the Fusion project context, including audit compliance with ICoFR, GDPR and other regulations for access to and use of personal data within ABB. Being a champion in innovation, efficiency and effectiveness. Leading effectively through a performance management culture that drives the company s values and successfully meets/exceeds all relevant targets and objectives within the business.

Your background

  • Graduate/post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Business Management, HR, or related discipline.
  • 12+ years of work experience and knowledge in several fields of HR IS (Human Capital Management Systems, HCM), HR Business Processes, HR Master Data in roles at large technological and industrial companies with complex organizations and multi-cultural management.
  • Experience with Workday is highly favorable.
  • Proven integration experience and having successfully worked in global deployment projects in the HR domain with significant aspects of complex IT implementation, organizational transformation and ambitious value creation targets.
  • Extremely structured thinking and strong communication skills to organize a global community of HRIS and business process specialists towards common solutions within the given timelines. Ability to structure and convey complex messages, urgency and insights into meaningful action plans.
