Senior Devops Engineer Job in Abb

This is a Senior DevOps Engineer role, reporting to the R&D Manager in Division- Drives of Business Area Motion, located in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for our cloud IoT solutions for asset monitoring, predictive maintenance and remote support, but also for future solutions that will help our customers to keep their assets running and save energy every day. Together with the global agile development teams of 30+ internal and external developers, product owners and architects, you will secure that our solutions are developed with right DevOps process.

Your responsibilities

• Designing and implementing continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning and operating test as well as production environments.
• Writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services.
• Writing application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.
• Designing and configuring infrastructure and application monitoring alerts.
• Providing systems support including responding to monitoring alerts.
• Analyzing the infrastructure logs including security logs and take necessary actions to keep solutions up all the time.
• Implementing and staying abreast of cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.
• Identifying and correcting any single points of failure.
• Working with developers to identify necessary Azure resources and automate their provisioning.
• Documenting the DevOps process Incident management and root cause analysis (Mainly Infrastructure related) cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.

Your background

• Bachelor or a Master s degree in Computer science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent skill level.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience, and minimum 6 years of experience in building and deploying solutions to Azure cloud developed using C# .Net.
• Hands on experience in Continues Integration tools like Azure DevOps knowledge on Travis CI, Jenkins, Bamboo is added advantage.
• Hands on experience in Continuous testing tools like with Selenium, JMeter, Appium like framework.
• Hands on experience in Continuous deployment tools like Kubernetes (AKS), Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Linux Sys Admin (RHEL, Ubuntu, Alpine), Azure Networking, Azure Application Gateway, Azure DevOps.
• Hands on experience in Continuous monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, App Insights and Log Analytics, Security monitoring and Third-party tools like Splunk.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, or similar technologies.
• Deep Knowledge/experience with managing DNS/Networking.
• Deep Knowledge on Cyber security best practices.
• Azure DevOps Engineer is an added advantage.
• A working understanding of code and scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby) is added advantage.
