Project Engineer Job in Abbott Laboratories

Purpose of the Position:

To Facilitate project and engineering jobs for Pharmaceutical dosage form AHPL, Baddi.

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Manages and enforces all Project Execution Plan aspects of the project.
• Monitor site activities with respect to the latest approved schedules.
• Determines where improvements are required.
• Ensures that the required PEG Assessments are performed.
• Witnesses the in-process inspection.
• Participates in the post installation inspection.
• Manages communications between the execution team, design team, and contractors as necessary to maintain and resolve execution issues.
• Review and approve contractors method statement, erection procedures and work plans.
• Review and approval of JHA/JSA for execution activities.
• Prepare and issue Weekly/Monthly progress reports, schedules and cost reports.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Incumbent should possess knowledge of utilities operations & maintenance, HT/LT system, 66 kb electrical services, operations of HVAC, exposure to boilers, compressor, nitrogen cylinder etc.
• Should be champion on energy conservation project.
• Possess knowledge of latest cGMP norms for the manufacture, formulation and packaging of oral solid dosage forms with OEB 3 & 4 category.

• Possess knowledge of containment facility.

• Uninterrupted supply of Steam, Compressed Air, Nitrogen Gas, Potable water, Soft water, Purified water, Cooling water, Hot water, Chilled water and Conditioned environment in production and manufacturing area. Investigation of Accidents/Near miss/Incidents, suggesting corrective and preventing action.
• Handling over all operations and Maintenance of Utilities to ensure smooth working to support the production and other stakeholders in a best possible manner .
• Budget estimation, preparation and submission to higher ups for approval.
• Establish control to maintain Power and fuel budget within allocated Opex.
• Review & approval of Design control documents, P&IDs, Layouts & Drawings, room data sheets.
• Technical evaluation, feasibility studies and QMS proceedings for Deptt CAPEX items.
• To check, approve departmental SOPs and procedures and ensure its compliance.
• Conceptualization of System improvement, Process improvement, Revamping of facility.
• Compliance to Safety and regulatory requirements and audits.
• Compliance to Safety.
• Strategic / ENCON Initiates to save on Energy.
• People development and impart training to colleagues and fellow technicians.
• Assessment of team member among Engineering (Utility).
• Implementation & Sustenance of continual improvement initiatives in Engineering.
• To play a coordinator role for ISO-train system for compliance and training in electronic systems per the timelines.
• Inventory management and control.
