Job Summary Job Description

Head the Structures Team in the Design Department in the preparation of quality design deliverables which incorporates economy, safety measures and environmental consideration.
Guide and monitor team of 30+ design engineers/managers working on structural design for detailed engineering designs such as widening of existing structures & construction of new structures, as per site requirement, drainage design and typical cross-section etc.
Prepare Cost Estimations and Cost optimization, Quantity estimation.
Providing technical direction to the structure design team, assigning tasks, instructing in procedures and ensuring the orderly progress of the project
To implement state of art technology, introduce new technology in design engineering such as MIDAS, Sofistik and Tekla
Co-ordination with Client, Design Consultant Independent/Authority Engineers & Other Agencies to run the projects smoothly meeting dead line in consultation with the Design Head at Corporate office
Co-ordination with site and assistance during construction phase, Site Inspections / Advices on alternative solutions
Able to handle a wider job responsibility independently

Competencies:

15-22 years of experiencein Design practices of large Bridges/Structural projects with knowledge of structural design.
Sound knowledge of design practices and procedures including soil mechanics, structural design, hydraulics & engineering economics
Knowledge of relevant Codes & Standard for Structures/Bridge Projects.
Must Have Experience in latest design software such as STAAD, MIDAS, Advance Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam
Ability to handle large team
Good communication skills
Positive attitude
Result oriented
