Job Summary Project Manager BS VI

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose:
Develop Project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans; conferring to Project Head and Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop the project and achieve required rate of progress of project work for the BS VI implementation.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination
  • Coordinate and manage with internal and external agencies for Basic Engineering, Extended Basic Engineering and Execution phase of BS VI implementation including required O&U facilities.
  • Identify the issues affecting project progress
  • Ensure smooth and timely flow of information among stakeholders.
  • Project Planning and Control
Ensure macro and micro project/ activity schedules.
  • Coordinate with other agencies to synchronise the schedules.
  • Monitoring of schedules and timelines and red flagging the issues.
  • Expediting the engineering, procurement and construction activities.

Infrastructure and enabling works
  • Support to Identify and coordinate Infrastructure and enabling works requirements.
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources.
  • Coordinate with external and internal agencies for the same

Risk Management
  • Identify project risks, and work out the contingency/mitigation plans

Change Management
  • Applying change control and configuration management processes.
MIS
  • Collect relevant information from stakeholders and reports.
  • Maintain project progress and milestones database.

HSE Management
  • Ensure implementation of HSE policies and procedures during all stages of project

Quality Management
  • Ensure that quality systems are in place and duly implemented during all stages of project

Key Challenges
  • Developing the project within very tight timelines.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve required rate of progress of project work and synchronize the completion of project with offisites & utilities
  • Skills & Knowledge Educational Qualifications & Certifications: 1. BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Chemical/ Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering 2. Preferably PMP certified Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience: 1. 20+ years experience in various aspects of Project Management in Hydrocarbon Industry preferably in Hydro-treating/ Hydrocracking Units 2. Experience as Project Manager for at least one Hydrocarbon project from Owner/Consultant or EPC contractor side. 3. Experience of Revamp of units and executing projects in operating units is preferable. Functional Skills:
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools
  • Knowledge of Refinery units preferably Hydro-treating/ Hydrocracking Units
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of project execution from concept to commissioning particularly pertaining to Hydrocarbon industry.
  • Ability of review cost estimates, time schedules and other project control document.
