As a Backend Developer, you ll design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel framework) and MySQL databases. You ll play a critical role in coding, optimizing, and integrating APIs, ensuring robust backend functionality and seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems using PHP and Laravel.
- Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries; design and manage databases efficiently.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, HTML5, and Bootstrap.
- Work with MVC architecture and third-party API integrations, including payment gateways.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure web security and authentication.
- Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including troubleshooting, debugging, and adding new features.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm, plan, and implement new features and improvements.
- Contribute to legacy and new projects with innovative solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a PHP/Laravel developer.
- Strong understanding of PHP, Laravel framework, MySQL, and SQL query optimization.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with CakePHP is a plus.
- Good knowledge of REST and SOAP API architectures.
- Hands-on experience with MVC design patterns.
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
