Job Description

4+ years of hands-on application support or design/development in a Unix environment using SQL and Unix Bash shell scripting. 2+ years hands-on working experience in large enterprise data warehouse/BI environment. 2+ years in a software production support role (includes training, guidance, technical standards enforcement) Must have working knowledge of Netezza (SailFish) and/or Oracle databases and/or DB2 and/or Solaris.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a key member of the Application Support team, you will be responsible for the monitoring, triaging and resolving application issues that arise for our customers. Solid understanding of data design and structures. Strong problem-solving skills and orientation. Ability to coordinate issue resolution activities across multiple IT and Business entities. Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills. Experience with data manipulation, reporting, data mining, and analytics tools (SQL, Splunk, Business Objects, etc.) desirable, but not required Informatica, Oracle SQL, Web Services, RedHat Linux, WebSphere, and MQ desirable, but not required End user management skills good at managing productive user relationships Experience with the Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence) preferred Methodical, thorough and pays attention to detail
