Description
Purpose of Position:
To be an independent data scientist and senior resource capable of doing various statistical modelling and predictive analysis for diverse business requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Work on advanced data analytics to provide insights and recommendation to Business.
Conduct predictive and prescriptive analysis to create various - what-if- scenarios
Develop & apply algorithms operating on data to solve real life business problems.
Be the - go to person for all statistical modelling/analytics
Key Expertise:
2 6 years of strong statistical knowledge and hands-on experience with statistical tools and techniques
Demonstrated capability to provide meaningful and actionable insights based on data analysis
Develop both analytics framework and ML algorithms for the condition-based monitoring system
Significant experience in predictive modelling (e.g. Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Ada-Boost).
Strong capability of running multivariate regression models using Python/R
Refactor/Optimize the code for many Machine Learning algorithms such as Linear regression, ridge and lasso regression, Regression/Classification Trees, Random Forest, Naive Bayes and K Nearest Neighbors etc.
Worked on improving the performance of various clustering techniques such as k-means and k-modes etc.
Experience of analyzing data through semantic, textual, contextual, sentiment analytics against configurable rules
Ability to conduct cluster analysis on large datasets
Good understanding and working experience with multiple data sources
High level of comfort with receiving, loading, cleansing, enriching & enhancing transactional data sources
Qualifications
Education and Skills:
BA/BS/PG in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or Mathematics
Advanced degrees and certifications preferred.
Should possess good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills
Innovative and always looking for continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Be self-driven and ability to deal with ambiguity in terms of incomplete data.
Should be a strong team player & able to work on ambiguous environment with minimal guidance
