Location: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India

Responsibilities

Procurement Processes:

  • Order creation
  • Vendor evaluation
  • Pricing
  • APN/ NFA creation
  • Procurement Modelling
  • Group TC policies compliance
  • SAP and Ariba awareness

Lead in Developing RFQ Evaluation:

  • Develop RFQ evaluation models (quality/price) to assess which bids offer the best value in competitive exercises.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Contracts to develop complex contractual pricing arrangements requiring sophisticated techniques to manage cost risk or adjust prices for labour and materials.

Procurement Operations Monitoring:

  • Monitor tendering processes, contractor appraisal, evaluation, and offer negotiation.
  • Oversee contract management, legal considerations, payment conditions, and risk assessment.

Project Management:

  • Participate in discussions with Project Management & Engineering teams to develop initial project schedules based on execution strategy.
  • Contribute to formulation of construction & commissioning milestones and direct subordinates to prepare procurement plans in line with those milestones.

Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with international suppliers, OEMs, contract counterparties, and research institutes for market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with local, national, and international defence and aerospace companies to expand networks.

People Development:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication, and mentoring.
  • Foster a team culture aligned with organizational values.
  • Guide recruitment, remuneration, training, and development of skilled executives.

Supply Chain Analysis and Control:

  • Analyze supply chain operations, performance KPIs, and cost metrics, reporting monthly on performance.
  • Implement modern inventory management, quality management, and management information practices.
  • Monitor and control the annual budget for employees, equipment, and materials.
  • Strategize, plan, and monitor EXIM (Including Taxation) and domestic logistics operations to ensure timely availability of raw materials and dispatches of finished goods.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have a Diploma/Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial) or Business (Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement).

Experience:

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in defense/aerospace/aviation supply chain environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management function.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers, especially in defense commodities (e.g., propellant, explosives).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and changing environment.

Qualification :
Must have a Diploma/Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial) or Business (Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement).
