Job Summary Position Overview The Payroll and Compliance Manager is responsible for managing payroll processing, statutory compliance, attendance management, and vendor coordination. This role ensures strict adherence to labor laws and regulations while overseeing payroll operations for a substantial workforce. The successful candidate will utilize in-house CRM and payroll software to manage payroll functions efficiently and support compliance audits. Key Responsibilities 1. Statutory Compliance: Licensing: Apply for new registrations under Professional Tax (PT), Labor Welfare Fund (LWF), Employees Provident Fund (EPF), and Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Handle applications for state and central labor licenses under CLRA. Audit Compliance: Maintain compliance registers, including Muster Roll, Bonus Register, Overtime Register, and Contractor Register. Ensure salary sheets, bank transfer records, and other required documentation are audit-ready. Statutory Challans & Returns: Prepare and submit statutory returns under the Factory Act and Shop & Establishment Act. Generate and file all statutory challans (EPF, ESIC, LWF, PT) and annual returns accurately. EPF & ESIC Administration: Register associates under EPF and ESIC, manage UAN generation and modifications, update KYC details, and handle claim settlements. Government Liaison: Collaborate with government departments (PF, ESIC, Labor Department) to resolve compliance issues and ensure adherence to regulations. 2. Payroll Processing: Salary Calculation: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, deductions (EPF, ESIC, TDS), and additions (incentives, allowances, overtime). Income Tax Compliance: Verify income tax declarations and proofs for accurate tax deductions. Payroll Software Management: Utilize proprietary payroll software for seamless payroll operations and reporting. 3. Audit & Reporting: Audits: Support the accounts department in payroll-related audits and ensure compliance with client-specific requirements. Monthly Reporting: Prepare payroll, compliance, and audit reports for internal and client review. Client Interaction: Handle employee and client queries related to payroll and compliance, providing timely and effective solutions. Qualifications: Currently pursuing CA (completed at least 1-2 levels). Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of labor laws and statutory regulations related to payroll and compliance. Experience in managing payroll for large workforces using payroll software. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
Qualification :
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
