Job Summary
  • Leads delivery of a Release Train, which encompasses 5-12 agile teams (50-125 team members)
  • Facilitate PI planning events
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
  • Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle
  • Report status to Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and support related activities
  • Understand and operate within Lean Budgets
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the ART sync at the Program Level
  • May act as a Solution Train Engineer, including these responsibilities:
  • Work with senior Solution Management leadership and executive stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment across multiple trains
  • Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the value stream sync for Solution Trains
  • Accountable for delivery of the Solution Train (multiple Release Trains).
  • May be a people leader with up to 5 Scrum Masters as direct reports, which would include these responsibilities:
  • Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies
  • Induct new joiners in order to quickly maximize performance
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPI to inspire individuals to achieve high performance
  • Allocate workload to fully utilize every employees talent and potential growth
  • Implement development plans and coach individuals to reach their maximum talent
  • Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance in a timely manner
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
  • Regularly communicate on company news and team progress against business plan
  • Create and foster team spirit.

Qualification :
  • Coach teams in Scrum and Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Facilitate Scrum/Release Train events
  • Manage and track the flow of value through the team(s)
  • Remove and track impediments blocking delivery of commitments
  • Manage risks and dependencies
  • Work with Solutions Managers and Product Owners to ensure the backlog is arranged to maximize value delivery
  • Work with Solutions Managers and Product Owners to ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team or Release Train
  • Work with team(s) to define Sprint or PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
  • Drive relentless improvement through Retrospectives and/or Inspect and Adapt workshops
