About Alstom in India

Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. Alstom has set up an Engineering Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and this coupled with a strong manufacturing base as well as localized supply chains, is uniquely positioned to serve customers across the globe. Purpose of the role: In-charge of Subsystem activities for tenders and projects, this position his coming with high stakes (amount, exposure), operational activities and strategic ones.

Strong involvement and implementation of commodities strategy (or define it for specific segment)

Manage some global supplier panel relationship (QBR, contractual negotiation leader, Partnership,..)

Supplier performance management and follow up (QBR, monthly)

Responsible for commodity QCDT for projects ANDTenders

Operational sourcing responsability on negociation,

Important ability to understand, challenge, handle differenttechnical solutionsto maximize performance at Tender stage

Supplier relationship:

Manage some global supplier relationship (FA, Partnership program, ...)

Ensure QCDT targets achievement, CONQ** & claims management for the global suppliers in charge

Lead supplier QCDT performance reviews

Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines.

Commodity support:

-Commodity representative

- Build Sourcing Tender commitment (inc. proactive mindset for systematic RAMP & SAMP),

-Consolidation of commodity needs, inputs,

- Active into transverse activities MoB, RdTC, Simplification of processes, Standardization,

- Strong input to build differenciation for AT through supplier innovation,

- Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration,

- According to delegation, define a strategy for specific platform,

- In charge of Buyer activity on specific segment,

-Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving,

- Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process, and provide return on experience,

-Coordinate project with all Metiers,

-Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool,

-Lead project negociation for the commodity,

- Lead and driveforeign sourcing organizationactivities in some specific cases, coordinate sourcing network

-Monitor sourcing project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development),

-Prepare Business Award,

- Lead from tender stagethrough Business award,project development and Purchase order creation until First Article Inspection (milestone of the transer to local organisation)

-Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving

Educational requirements

Business school or Engineering degree with MASTER in purchasing

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Experience between3 to6 years in Industry
Fluent english & International background

Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies

Strong interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince)
