Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL) is looking for an experienced and motivated AWS and VMware business development (BD) executive specializing in VMware Cloud on AWS to join the World-Wide Public Sector (WWPS) team in AISPL. VMware Cloud on AWS allows customers to run VMware's Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) stack and leverage VMware's virtualization and management software to seamlessly deploy and manage VMware workloads across their on-premises and VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) environments. VMC makes it easier for VMware customers to run any application, using a set of familiar software and tools, in a consistent hybrid cloud environment.

AISPL is seeking an experienced BD and synergy leader to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for VMware Cloud on AWS. This business development manager will collaborate with senior leaders from VMware, AISPL and our partners to support and accelerate the VMC on AWS BD motion for the purpose of strategic guidance and functional oversight. You will be responsible for developing and managing a BD pipeline of high value accounts while executing BD strategies to secure deals that will exceed account acquisition and BD goals for your region.

This individual will be responsible for identifying and building relationships at both VMware and AISPL with key influencers and decision-makers within the teams of our targeted accounts. In addition, collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling partner BD strategies that meet and exceed customer requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities



Being the trusted BD and partnership leader for VMware Cloud on AWS opportunities in your region
Working with AWS/VMware BD, pre-BD, operations and marketing to drive alignment and knowledge of cloud solutions and technologies to facilitate broad BD growth in India
Driving VMC customer adoption, BD and growing market share: accountable for exceeding account acquisition and BD quota
Develop an enterprise account solution strategy at all levels business units to C-suite
Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/sector plan: driving strategies to win opportunities
Effective pipeline creation, management and forecasting, and owning updates on progress to leadership
Domestic travel up to 60%
Recruit and develop strategic alliance partners
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the VMware and AWS communitiesBe a thought leader by looking beyond the technology and considering the value that the AWS + VMW partnership creates for our customers in India

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of work experience with progressive responsibility in business development, strategic partnerships, alliances or solution cloud BD
5+ years of partner/business development, enterprise BD, and/or program/product management experience with a focus on State and Local Government or Education BD
2+ years of work experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams with value-led propositions
1+ year of VMware experience as a BD manager, partner or customer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and demonstrated analytical skills
Relevant real?life experience with hybrid cloud solutions (workload-defined private and public clouds)
AWS experience as a BD manager, customer or partner
Superior presentation/communication skills: purposeful structure, crisp content (less is more), actionable delivery
Ability to maintain good rapport and demonstrates leadership and teamwork in cross-functional teams.
Expertise on the methods to build and optimize applications into a highly available cloud platform
Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity
