IN this role, you will be at the forefront of Cloud technologies, interacting and mastering the full breadth of AWS services. You will be surrounded by people who are smart, passionate about niche technologies in Cloud Computing and believe that world class support is critical to customer success and innovation.
You will provide L2 and L3 technical support and advice to a wide range of global enterprise customers as they build mission critical applications with the full suite of AWS services. The team is globally distributed, working under a follow-the-sun model and is growing rapidly.
Our support engineers are responsible for helping customers utilize all services offered within AWS. They also act as the voice of the customer to the development teams for recurring issues or feature requests.

Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our global enterprise customers' dynamic needs
Work directly with Amazon Web Services Architects to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
Use your experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our AWS services
Support engineers not only work a broad spectrum of technical issues but also coach/mentor new hires, develop and present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in recruiting, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Administrator skills on Linux and/or Windows servers system ((Ubuntu/CentOS/RedHat/Solaris; Networking; IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring)
Good understanding of computer networks
Knowledge of some Developer & Mobile Services- Scripting, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, .NET, JavaScript, iOS/Objective-C/Swift, Rest API, inter-application messaging & queueing, develop mobile apps, version control systems, virtualization. Experience with web-based applications and HTTP
Knowledge of client/server and distributed systems architectures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer service experience / strong customer focus
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience
Motivated and excited to be learning about new technologies every day
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing against and working with REST API based services
Prior working experience with AWS services
Experience with Cloud architecture patterns and distributed computing concepts
Exposure to Mobile application development (iOS / Android)
Exposure to mobile and web application security best practices
Messaging and Queueing experience
Detailed knowledge of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, TCP
Exposure to security concepts / methodologies
Experience with iperf, MTR, traceroute, dig
Experience handling full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
Experience working with identity providers (i.e. Login with Amazon, Facebook Connect, OpenID, etc.) / OAuth
Experience with push notifications, APNS and GCM
