Job Description:

We are looking for an HR Leader to partner with the India Infrastructure teams responsible for planning, delivering, securing, and safely operating cloud server capacity for our customers through a rapidly expanding Data Centre network.


The HR function at Amazon has a four-pronged mission: Enable Growth, Develop Large Leaders, Cultivate Culture, and Operate Optimally. This leader will focus on developing and implementing an HR strategy that supports a high growth environment and ensures that these strategies are aligned with the business objectives, as well as Amazons culture.

You will partner with senior leaders throughout the planning and execution of people strategies, programs, and initiatives. You will work to improve organizational design to scale the business, lead change management, provide leadership coaching, as well as, design and deliver management training. You will lead and participate in global and regional projects, develop and drive continuous improvement of internal processes, and drive talent management and development programs.

Responsibilities for this role include:
Function as a consultant and counselor to key AWS leaders and their respective organizations; engage in strategic planning meetings to translate business needs into HR plans
Partner with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
Provide management coaching to front line managers and senior leaders.
Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
Lead the annual HR efforts relating to Talent and Performance Management, Compensation Management, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development for the respective client groups
Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
Work with business groups to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within the client group.
Establish organizational metrics and audit core people metrics to measure the health of the organization and develop programs that lead to improvement.
Support the expansion of new sites and regions.

Flexibility to travel required (up to 20%).

Hands-on leader who is continually and deeply engaged in the business to understand the current and future talent needs and to be able to provide insight\input on the health of the organization
Has the ability to identify issues and root cause; willingness to dive deep into details
Ability to achieve results in a matrixed environment



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelors Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field. Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.
Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in an HR leadership role with experience within a technology or operational organization
Knowledge of employment laws.
