IN Item Data Quality team creates automated mechanisms to estimate the extent of data quality issues, supports targeted efforts to bootstrap or augment automated methods for quality improvement and works with crowd sourced customer feedback to make the catalog go better.

Job Description:
IN Item Data Quality team at Amazon is looking for a seasoned leader to lead the charter for Amazon India catalog for their Softlines and Other Hard Lines product lines. The team is responsible for targeted catalog improvements through crowd sourcing and machine learning. We are looking for a strategic leader who has the experience to set up larger business teams, formulate a vision for the team and also create a strong line of business for the strategy execution. Willingness and ability to work and deliver in a start up environment would be an addition to the skill set.The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to innovate and think out of the box, sharp analytical skills coupled with good business acumen, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.

Core responsibilities for this position include:
Be a leader of leaders for Amazon Catalog Quality Experience. Manage a team of over 50+ Data Quality specialists and leaders in the organization.
Work with stakeholders across category, business development, product, machine learning and engineering teams to define and execute the Catalog Quality program road-maps
Identify, scope, deploy process improvements/innovations across teams
Create/ Manage KPI's and deliver on the same
Create Programs and execution plan to meet capacity, growth and metrics
Take ownership of the teams recruiting efforts. Continually raises the hiring bar
Innovate on the training and/or development requirements of the teams
Formulate vision and goals for the org and have the leaders execute the same

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


15+ years of program/program management, marketing, consulting or related experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of relevant work experience or Top B-school MBA. Proven track record of delivering on large scale projects involving large teams (50+). Proven people management skills (leadership role, team management and retention of top talent)
Proven experience in managing multiple business processes, handle things at a scale and work with global counterparts
Ability to transform the manual driven process throughimprovement/quality control tools and methods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong judgment and instincts.
Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
Excellent in relationship management and handling diverse set of stakeholders across all levels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering or data sciences
Prior experience working in audit process / similar ecommerce processes
Prior experience in use of data analysis tools like MS Excel
Prior experience in design and execution of analytical projects
Experience in working with databases, and SQL in a business environment
MBA preferred
