The India Transportation Product Management team is looking for looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed product manager to lead our teams expansion to build transportation technology for multiple emerging countries where Amazon transportation is now expanding. In this role, you will be the single threaded product owner for a suite of products and will act as the point of contact for country level operations executives for their network technology strategy. You will regularly use data and critical thinking to drive alignment across senior leaders across organizations on your product vision.
In this role, you will:
1. Define, design, launch and manage new transportation related products and programs for these countries.
2. Gather requirements and conceptualize a transportation solution to solve a business problem.
3. Own and drive the product portfolio and product roadmap
4. Work with key stake holders across various functions to define and launch a product/program.
5. Manage technical integration with amazon systems across retail, merchant, transportation operations and finance technologies and setup end-to-end operational, accounting, and financial, taxation requirements, and performance measurement and customer satisfaction related processes.
6. Launch and expand the product/program as per Amazons requirements while being responsible for all customer and merchant satisfaction, performance, compliance, accounting and financial related metrics.
7. Use customer and market feedback, competitive analysis, and business metrics to make informed decisions
8. Exhibit product expertise that connects, understands, and leverages company-wide assets and capabilities
9. Evaluate launch outcomes and reintegrate learning into the organization and product plan
This role calls for an individual who can own all aspects of how transportation impacts customer experience, shipper experience and operator experience; manage performance and measure, determine, then drive, any initiatives necessary to improve it. It requires an individual to showcase judgment and decision making skills to balance customer experience with financial impact. This position offers a broad exposure to various business, financial, and technical teams within Amazon.
The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys and excels at dealing with ambiguity and design and define products/programs with little information. He / She will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency, and a proven ability to lead large cross-functional projects including communication across all levels and teams in the organization: senior leaders, technical teams, finance, fulfillment, and business leaders.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or the equivalent required
2. 10+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of product management experience
3. Demonstrated people and organizational management skills
4. Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Proven record of innovation and thought leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years experience in transportation/ecommerce/mobility product development or product/technology consulting
2. MBA or Masters degree
3. Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
4. Strong analytical & quantitative skills with the ability to use data and to back up recommendations and drive actions
5. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills experience managing teams and engaging with senior leadership
