Quality Assurance Technician
This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of a game-changing initiative. This is a brand new Amazon Project and you will be a founding member of the team in India that will support this early stage initiative. Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment thats more startup than big company. Well need to tackle problems that span a variety of domains: computer vision, image recognition, machine learning, real-time and distributed systems.
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for executing both functional test and smoke test and provide test result reports. You will be responsible for logging tickets for any issues found during functional validation or smoke test and work with teams across the organization to drive issues to resolution. You will execute Data Collection sessions including preparing for the session and completing the activities post a session. You will work with participants directly to ensure the scenarios are tested as per the guided instruction. You should be able to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues. You should be able to document Standard Operating Procedures. You should be able to organize and review the data collected and assist with other research related activities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Tech literate with basic debugging skills; Windows and Linux competent
Comfortable with handling data using Excel or any spreadsheet
Attention to detail and ability to root cause important issues impacting process or customers
Strong organizational skills and team player
Excellent written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college degree program
Experience with various QA methodology and tools; and building and executing test cases
Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python)
Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
Strong ability to organize and track multiple test executions simultaneously, and ability to synthesize test results
Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering the quality bar
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in delivering world-class customer experience
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making
