Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

The Center of Retail Excellence team owns the charter of helping sellers and amazon to succeed at scale using products and automation. We are looking for seasoned business folks in helping sellers set up for success, while enabling them for long term success. This person will manage a team to test multiple pilots to see which business model scales better.

Candidates for this role need a deep understanding of Amazon India and the landscape in which it operates; a passion for diving deep into data; and an ability to learn from and with our vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Amazons vision is to enable customers globally to find, discover, and buy anything online. Guided by this vision, Amazon is seeking customer-centric, experienced Sr Category Manager, with experience in retail and 3P businesses to improve the category experience on its global websites.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
Define program around PSP model for PD.
Partner with legal, category, finance, sellers to make the model excutionable.
Ensure we set up right decision making dashboard to help audit inputs and outputs.
Partner with product team, on business requirement.
Handhold seller in ensuring they are able to ramp up on products and processes .
Desired is knowledge of Amazon retail operations. Should have managed sellers
Be proficient in narrative writing for decision making and keeping leadership informed of progress being made.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Deep understanding of and passion for e-commerce required.
Experience analyzing and improving performance of a business.
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management.
Highly organized and strong attention to details.
Hands-on, results-oriented mentality, combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Comfortable with hands-on day-to-day management of tasks, resolution of problems and issues and experience in implementing action plans to meet objectives. Equally comfortable in generating a 3-year strategic vision and a weekly sales report.
Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage a program by the numbers. Must be metrics-driven.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented. Proven ability to influence others.
Understanding of retail business in the respective category highly desired.
Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA is desirable.
Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap.
Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements.
