The Product Assurance, Risk & Security (PARS) organization exists to keep our customers and partners safe, protect associates, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Compliance Operations (C-Ops) is the operational arm of the organization. The team partners with worldwide program teams to classify products and ensure Amazons product listings follow regulatory and legal compliance guidelines. C-Ops supports regulatory compliance requirements for Amazons worldwide programs such as Restricted Products, Dangerous Goods, Global Trade Services, Product Assurance, Food Safety and Product Safety. C-Ops has offices across India, China, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, Jordan, and Costa Rica and supports compliance related needs for worldwide Amazon marketplaces


Key Responsibilities
Lead large initiatives, coordinating the work of internal and partner teams, including program scoping, design, data collection, fieldwork and site visits, data analysis, proposal of new standards, communication of results to senior management worldwide, business action follow-up, and subject matter expert (SME) process support for implementations of recommended improvements.
Engage fully and deep dive into processes, highlight variation and identify corresponding root causes to define best in class for best practice adoption and standardization.
Passion for innovation to ensure we deliver high quality programs processes that heavily rely on optimized tools, configurations and algorithms against agreed commitments.
Plan and execute end-to-end operational analysis programs that result in standardization of classification processes and implementation of best practices.
Make data driven decisions and recommend strategies that achieve measurable results for continuous improvement and change management.
Develop and drive scalable end-to-end process improvement across worldwide manual classification related processes, leveraging lean management and Six Sigma or similar methodologies or approaches. Creating, developing and driving solutions that lead to a richer end-to-end customer and operations experience, whilst enabling selection expansion.
Drive speed, quality, and simplification throughout by eliminating rework loops, reducing and automating manual work/ hand-offs, identifying and implementing best practices across the business, and minimizing process variance through standardization and automation.
Develop and launch a sustainable process to formulate the key and priority process changes to eliminate gaps, evaluate risks, permanently and proactively solve root causes.
Develop accurate and relevant metric-driven analysis to foster continuous improvement and step-function innovation that will enhance our internal and external customer experience.
Improve the Standard Operation Procedures for the Compliance Operations teams.
Establish process management and governance.




BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree, Operations/Supply Chain, Organizational Behavior, or other technical field from an accredited university
At least 5 years of project/program management experience, delivering on largescale, cross-functional programs in support of business goals
At least 2 years of experience with root cause analysis and process design
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
Experience in Lean/Six Sigma Mfg. methodologies
Excellent attention to details to identify gaps and opportunities in procedures, and drive innovative, efficient solutions
Ability to operate independently
Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Excellent business judgment and a practical, common sense approach to getting things one
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
Willingness to travel up to 20% of time to Europe, China, Jordan and Costa Rica


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in business domains such as supply chain management, and logistics
Experience in working with technology teams
MBA or Masters Degree in a related field
Ability to thrive in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
