We are looking for a passionate, hard-working and talented Senior Software Development Engineer for the Alexa Echo Device Software team who has experience building innovative, mission critical software features. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and development of consumer products and features.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
10+ years of industry experience in building embedded consumer products
10+ years of programming experience in Java or C++; in Linux, Windows, and/or Mac environment.
10+ years of experience working with CS fundamentals including algorithms, runtime analysis, OO design, code quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The Alexa Echo device software team is hiring software development engineers to deliver new features on this already highly coveted platform, as well as any potential future platforms. Help build features that push the limits of the platform's capabilities in offline scenarios. Leverage these features to enhance performance of the platform overall! In particular, we are looking for people who have:

Familiarity with working in an Agile environment.
Programming experience on mobile platforms, preferably Android.
Graduate degree.
