Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Acceptance Payment Platform team at Amazon India Development Center, Bangalore is looking for a Support Engineering Leader to own and drive the support operations for India Payments related to Cards, Netbanking and UPI processing. The manager would be working with external stakeholders like payment gateways, banks, business operations and tech teams to drive the automation, resolution of the fixes, setting the processes and following through them. As a manager, you will be responsible for finding the insights and contributing to the product roadmap of how the systems should evolve, what are the issues or limitations. The manager would be owning goals around SLA, resolution of the issues, technical influencing of the systems, supporting the Amazon India wide events like Great Indian Festival Sale and other exclusive launch events. The manager would be leading the team of strong Support Engineers, so he is expected to hire, mentor and groom them to the next levels.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 6 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
5+ years professional experience in software development
Excellent trouble shooting skills.
Computer Science fundamentals and Coding/Scripting Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
Hire and Mentoring the team members

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expertise in handling large scale systems, scaling and support large events.
Expertise in handling external stake holders, defining processes and influencing the stakeholders on the same.
Proficiency in AWS technologies
