6-8 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance

Job description :

• Hands-on experience in setting up Continuous Integration model using Jenkins, Maven, and other CI tools used in DevOps ecosystem
• Experience with Agile Software development methodologies and associated lifecycle tools - JIRA / ALM etc.
• Strong hands-on experience with Load Runner/HP Performance Center required script creation using VuGen and JMeter for Web (HTTP/HTML), Web services, etc. protocols (as applicable) to emulate the application.
• Experience with Open Source tools like JMeter, SOAPUI, Microfocus Performance Center Scripting.
• Hands on experience in report analysis and also performance engineering / triaging.
• Web Application Testing - Basic understanding of HTTP Protocol
• HTTP Methods, Request/Response Headers, Cookies, TCP/IP connections over HTTP etc..
• Basic understanding of HTML/JavaScript, Reference Link:
• SOAP/REST APIs testing. Configuring cURL commands and POSTMAN tool to capture the request in automated scanner. Network Testing
• Good Understanding of security vulnerabilities. OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
• Should be able to configure automated scanner (such as Login sequence, Manually exploring critical flaws, Policy customization, scan throttling, etc) to perform successful scan.
• Assessment of scanner results and intelligently identifying false positives from the scan results.
• Knowledge of Burp features mainly, Spider, Intruder, Scanner, Repeater and Extender.
• Execute test cases/scripts/scenarios on schedule (Functional, Systems Integration, and Regression Testing), and open defects as needed
• Develop/build test automation strategy and focus specifically on maximizing reusability for regression
• Identify regression testing needs and create and maintain an Automated Regression Suite
• Maintain automated scripts utilizing the existing framework, adhering to coding standards
• Good understanding in developing test scripts using tools like Selenium with Gherkins/Cucumber frameworks
• Proficient in database fundamentals and exposure to complex SQLs. (DB2/Oracle/MySQL)
• Experience with source control management tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
• In-depth experience with using Agile lifecycle management tools like Jira
• Proven ability in building test strategy and test plans for data centric application development projects
• Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment

Manual Testing :

• Flaws like, Authentication (session management) testing, CSRF, business logic testing which are not detected by an automated scanner must be identified using manual testing.
• Understanding of the workflow of the application and identifying the entry points to detect possible vulnerabilities.
