Role: Software Engineer

As a software engineer at Apexon, you ll have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology solutions that make a global impact, particularly in the area of cancer diagnostics. Working with a collaborative, fast-paced team, you ll be at the forefront of developing scalable software products that save and improve lives around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development:

• Propose and evaluate design options, review code, and analyze requirements.
• Implement high-quality code and tests in web APIs, databases, cloud components, and analysis pipeline execution.

Process & Operations:

• Ensure test automation and regulatory compliance are integrated into software development practices.
• Apply Lean principles for continuous improvement of team processes and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications and services.
• Strong leadership skills to guide teams towards successful project execution.
• Experience in building software products using Java, Spring Boot, REST API, and microservices architecture.
• Proficient with data structures like Stack, Queue, LinkedList, and algorithms.
• Experience developing and deploying production software on public cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
• Ability to participate in architectural discussions and take ownership of projects for delivering high-quality software.
• Experience collaborating with software architects on application deployment architecture for optimal product stability, performance, security, and supportability on the cloud.
• Familiar with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Commitment to Agile/Lean practices and scalable architecture.
• Ability to develop reusable inner- or open-sourced components for multiple projects.
• Experience with behavior-driven or test-driven development.
• Experience partnering with security and compliance teams to meet software requirements.
• Ability to maintain high software quality by adhering to best practices within the team.
• Proven ability to work with globally distributed, multicultural teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with Angular.
• Experience developing regulated products under design control.
• Familiarity with virtualization, containers, and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with tools like Datadog, Helm, andGitHub Actions.
• Passion for continuous improvement in software development processes and frameworks.
