Role: Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at Apexon, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative technology solutions, particularly focused on improving cancer diagnostics. Your work will directly contribute to saving and improving lives globally. You will be working with a fast-paced, collaborative team of top-tier engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development:
- Propose and evaluate design options, review code, and analyze requirements.
- Implement high-quality code and tests in areas such as web APIs, databases, cloud components, and analysis pipeline execution.
Process & Operations:
- Ensure test automation and regulatory compliance are embedded into software development practices.
- Apply Lean principles in activities to drive continuous improvement in team operations and product quality.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced software engineer with a passion for working in innovative technology that makes a difference in the healthcare industry. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a strong leadership skillset that drives successful project execution. You are committed to continuous improvement and have experience delivering high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications and services.
- Experience in building software products using Java, REST APIs, Microservices, and modern web frameworks like Angular/React.
- Proficient in data structures (e.g., Stack, Queue, LinkedList) and algorithms.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Ability to collaborate on architectural discussions and take ownership of projects to deliver high-quality software.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Dedication to Agile/Lean practices and scalable architecture.
- Ability to develop reusable inner- or open-sourced components for multiple projects.
- Experience with behavior or test-driven development.
- Experience working closely with security and compliance teams to ensure software meets requirements.
- Ability to work with globally distributed, multicultural teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience developing regulated products under design control.
- Familiarity with virtualization, containers, and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with tools like Datadog, Helm, and GitHub Actions.
- A passion for continuous improvement in software development processes and frameworks.
