Job Description

  • Participate in managing day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure environments, including performance management, monitoring and assessment of metrics
  • Work with business units on new deployments, issues and improvements to existing services: assist development teams with integrations and identity enablement for SaaS or custom products; deploy IaaS and PaaS infrastructure in AWS, Azure or GCP using Terraform, Ansible or other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
  • Benchmark, analyze and report on and/or make recommendations for the improvement of cloud environments; help establish, implement and adhere to the corporate technology standards and guidelines
  • Run and review daily reports to identify and rectify problems as required
  • Develop and or improve the automation of tasks and infrastructure using established scripting tools and capabilities
  • Perform on-call duties, system implementations and upgrades that may occur after normal business hours and on weekends as required to minimize business impact
  • Other duties as assigned or as responsibilities dictate

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor s degree with a demonstrated interest in technology, technology issues, and analytical analysis
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Minimum 1-year experience provisioning, operating and maintaining systems running on a public cloud provider
  • Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python), configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and Infrastructure-As-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible); track record of applying automation to all aspects of technical operations
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills: ability to communicate at all levels of the entire organization
  • High performance and standards as demonstrated by academic or previous job experience
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Vendor Certifications a plus: AWS, MCSE
  • Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring tools such as DataDog, LogicMonitor and New Relic is preferred
  • Experience with service management and incident response systems such as Service Now and PagerDuty is preferred
  • Ability to identify and enforce AWS, Azure and GCP best practices is preferred
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps is strongly desired
