The Site Civil Construction Manager will be responsible for the overseeing the construction of substation foundations and should have experience working in the Transmission field previously.

Should have strong technical knowledge and the ability to supervise the contractors work on site, on behalf of the client.

The Site Civil Construction Manager (Substation) will report to the Resident Project Manager and further responsibilities will include:

Responsible for civil/structural engineering including the detailed design for high voltage substation projects up to 400kV in support of the Substation Engineering group.

Depending upon complexity of the project, the candidate may prepare, provide guidance, or assist in preparing the structural design of concrete foundations and steel structures for electric substation construction projects - including physical layouts and/or structural/site layouts and associated civil calculations, Check quality of the materials and the installation works.

Candidate will be responsible for working closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements.

To permit works only with approved drawings or documents.

Other duties include developing technical specifications, to instruct and organise the activities of the local engineers, providing direction and guidance to drafters and designers, directing the flow of drafting and designer duties, Ensuring design schedules are met, including regularly providing project status updates to Residential Project Manager.

Responsible for handling multiple projects and providing a detailed design package that complies with applicable substation engineering design standards and all safety codes.
