Description :

The Network Engineer?s role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training. Network engineer will also participate in Linux servers configurations and management tasks

Responsibilities :

  • Monitoring network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
  • Setup and Configuration Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Configure Site to Site vpn, NAT, Access Rules, URL Filtering, Bandwidth Management and monitoring, Service policy rules, Dual ISP connection, Failover on Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Research and make recommendations on server system administration
  • Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company?s security team
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Must Have Skills :

  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience
  • CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
  • Experience on configuration of Cisco Firewalls, Manageable Switches and Routers.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools

    • Good to have :

  • Hands on experience on Linux server configuration and management
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
  • Experience on Linux Shell script
  • Experience on monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues

    • ISMS Role and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to information security policies and processes of organization to protect business data and assets
  • Understanding and reporting on information security risks using risk assessment and treatment methodologies for the impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability of business data
  • Understanding of systems configuration, hardening, patch management and deployment
  • Understanding of systems backups and restoration to protect the business data from any disaster events
  • Provisioning and de-provisioning logical access to information processing systems (such as network and servers) as authorized
  • Implementing appropriate physical and technical safeguards at network and computing systems level, to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of business data
  • Understanding and reporting on how business data is stored, processed and transmitted by the organization and by third-party vendors (as applicable)
  • Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations/breaches to an appropriate authority
