This is a Learning & Talent Manager role, reporting to Global HRBP for GBS (Global Business Service) and will be based in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing best-in-class standards and solutions for Talent Management to ensure the right capabilities are available today and tomorrow, in line with the strategic objectives of the business. You will engage with HR Business Partners, Functional Leaders and Managers to ensure alignment with ABB processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Partnering with HRBPs and business leaders to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through existing, new, and/or improved HR practices, processes, or policies in area of functional specialty.
  • Developing and implementing Region/Cluster/Country-specific programs in area of functional specialty, in consultation with CoE, sharing practices with other geographic areas for their use as appropriate.
  • Ensuring diversity and inclusion principles are a core principle for the business, including attracting and retaining diverse talent in the business and supporting an inclusive work environment and leadership style.
  • Ensuring effective implementation of talent management program: e.g. Talent Identification, Career Development, Succession Planning, Talent Development programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and HR policies and compliance standards in area of functional responsibility, managing local exception requests to policy, within defined parameters, and escalates as necessary.
  • Implementing and continuously optimizing HR processes and procedures within area of functional responsibility in alignment with ABB guidance, policy, and procedures.
  • Establishing partnerships internally and externally with a wide network to ensure implementation of best practice and the optimal use of resources, building productive relationships at all levels and in all parts of the HR functions.

Your background

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field or a masters degree is preferred.
  • Professional with 14+ years of experience in HR with a focus and passion on organizational development, learning and talent management in complex settings, across multiple geographies and business areas and with exposure to Shared Service environment.
  • Experience with implementation of talent and learning initiatives in a global environment and working across multiple geographies and within a virtual team.
  • Resilience and ability to work with ambiguity and changing set of circumstances and issues.
  • Excellent relationship building ability across stakeholders with a collaborative approach.
  • Self-driven, energetic, enthusiastic and inclusive; creating or responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.
  • Proficient using MS Office tools (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong business acumen with excellent influencing and consultancy skills and the ability to understand and speak the language of the business.
  • Strong project/program management skills.
