This is a R&D Senior Engineer role, reporting to the R&D Manager in Business Area Industrial Automation located in Bangalore. You will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology and/or product development by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Demonstrating solid competence in technologies, tools and methods in own specialist area through solving complex industrial problems.
  • Contributing to the development of strategic technology plans and project portfolio in own organization.
  • Performing a variety of complex technology or Engineering assignments, which typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques.
  • Demonstrating sound working knowledge of relevant processes and tools and training junior team members when needed. Acting as a project leader or experienced project member.
  • Providing consulting services to business operations and customers within own area of expertise. Representing own group or team in Engineering forums, both internal and external to ABB.
  • Living ABBs core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • A Bachelors or masters degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in windows application development.
  • Knowledge in software development process with extensive experience in various design patterns with object-oriented analysis and design methodologies.
  • Experience in C++ CLI and COM interoperability, architectural tools like enterprise architect or equivalent using UML and design patterns.
  • Experience in handling customer cases, experience in tools like Windbg, Memory leak detecting tools.
