Job Summary

Associate Product Designer, Bangalore (REQ - 1426)

Job Title: Associate Product Designer

Reports To: Senior Director, User Experience

Location: Bangalore, India.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Contribute to the design of simple and elegant experiences across multiple touch points for Identity Management Solutions.

  • Produce low-fidelity prototypes and high-fidelity wireframes based on a Design Thinking approach

  • Implement user-centric product requirements and design patterns

  • Contribute to the HID Design System with elegant experience patterns.

  • Portfolio focused on UI and product design

  • Familiarity with user experience best practices and trends

Desired but not required

  • Experience integrating user research feedback in their work

  • Experience participating in cross-functional design activities and workshops

Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc), Human-Computer Interactions (HCI) or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 1+ years of experience in product designer or similar role

Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Computer Skills

  • Familiar with at least 1 design tool (such as Figma, Sketch and its plug-ins, or Illustrator)

  • Familiar with in prototyping tools (such as Axure or InVision)

  • Meet deadlines on high quality design deliverables

  • Understand customer-centric design approach adopted by the team

  • Understand complex technical requirements

  • Actively participate in cross-functional design workshops and activities

  • Receive critical feedback from stakeholders.

Work Requirements

  • Compliance with all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.

  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired
