Job Summary

Will serve as the head of all departments falling within the Asset Division. Responsible for the aesthetic and technical quality of all 3D builds across the studio, which consists of modeling, foliage, rigging, cfx-groom and surfacing-lookdev. Top-Level collaboration with Senior Mgmt, CG Sups, Division Sups, Pipeline, HR and Production Mgmt.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Studio Related:

  • To collaborate closely with your teams and Pipeline Department to create/build efficient and scalable methods and processes of all the departments within the Assets Division Supervisor Mentorship/Management

Related:

  • To support, mentor and develop all supervisors within the Asset Division

Project Related:

  • To participate in the bidding process for new projects, when needed
  • To recommend top-line casting and oversee from big-picture perspective

HR/People Management Related (Artist Mgr):

  • To strengthen and develop all levels of talent, within your Division

Experience and Skills Required

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in CG Animation (commercial / feature film / series productions)
  • Solid experience in all aspects of Asset Creation (Modeling, Foliage, Rigging, CFX, Groom and Surfacing-LookDev)
  • Lighting & Comp experience is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of: (Maya, Photoshop, Substance Painter/Designer, Toon Shader, AfterEffects, Vray, Arnold)
  • Working knowledge of: (SpeedTree, Mari, Zbrush, Nuke, Shave&HairCut, Xgen, Yeti a huge plus )
  • Knowledge of different pipelines
  • Clear understanding of the entire production process
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superior diplomatic and communication skills
  • Works well under heavy production deliveries and pressure
  • Ability to successfully delegate, mentor and manage supervisors/leads and projects
  • Understands client approval process
  • Must have a sense of strong team dynamics and ability to generate an environment of positive morale
  • Encourage and endorse innovation (from juniors to sups)
