Role Overview:

As an Application Engineer on the Finance Technology team, you'll configure and implement solutions using leading third-party HR and Finance SaaS applications like Workday HCM and Oracle Fusion. You'll work within a dynamic and global team, leveraging your technical expertise to drive impactful projects and solve critical system issues.

In this role, you'll develop solutions, identify and address root causes of technical challenges, and learn new tools to support the team s success. You'll also collaborate across various teams to set expectations, gather input, and communicate results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workday Configuration & Deployment: Analyze business requirements, design, configure, test, and independently deploy solutions utilizing Workday HCM, Payroll, and related Workday modules.
• End-to-End Solution Development: Collaborate with peer engineers to develop technical solutions addressing large, complex business problems.
• Incident Support: Provide Level 3 support for incident resolution, fix defects, and quickly address system issues.
• Opportunity Identification: Research and identify opportunities for implementing new Workday functionality to bring additional value to customers and address business needs.
• Cross-Application Support: Learn and provide support for other applications used by the team beyond Workday, broadening your technical expertise.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience configuring HR Systems, with at least 2 years of experience implementing and supporting Workday HCM in either a corporate HRIS/IT role or as part of a Workday implementation partner.
• Proficiency with multiple Workday modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Third-party Payroll, and Reporting.
• Strong understanding of Workday modules like Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence and how these modules integrate.
• Project Ownership: Ability to drive projects independently from initiation to completion.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday certification (Workday Pro or through an implementation partner).
• Experience in building integrations within Workday or other enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with custom application development and problem-solving within enterprise HRIS/IT systems.
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework and using tools like JIRA for project management.
