Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Content Designer to join the IT Ops group in India. This team is one of the fastest-growing at Atlassian, with the goal of empowering operations teams (Dev, IT, Engineering) to collaborate at high velocity. As a Senior Content Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping content strategy and designing experiences that enhance how our customers engage with Atlassian products.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish Content Design Impact:

• Help establish and demonstrate the role and impact of content design within the IT Ops team. Connect best practices with impactful ways of working to shape content strategy and delivery.

Experiment & Innovate:

• Work with product managers, engineers, and product designers to experiment with different approaches to information in the UI, documentation, support materials, and any place our customers interact with information.

Collaborate Across Teams:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the entire customer journey and provide scalable, impactful content solutions that enhance the user experience.

Content Strategy & Execution:

• Take ownership of the content strategy from a content design perspective, closing loops and ensuring smooth customer experiences through effective information design.

Apply Atlassian Standards:

• Ensure content is effective, accessible, and inclusive by applying Atlassian s content standards, and guide others to maintain a high bar for content outputs.

Storytelling & Portfolio:

• Demonstrate your storytelling skills by sharing how you ve solved customer problems through content design methodologies that created impactful, scalable solutions in your portfolio review.

Contribute to Content Design Community:

• Join a talented, global community of content designers and contribute to Atlassian's growing craft in content design.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in UX writing/content design.
• Background in structured content and content modeling.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills with senior stakeholders across the organization.
• Experience in transitioning between high-level content strategy and hands-on writing tasks.
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence and Figma (or similar) to create content design concepts and co-design with craft partners.
• Ability to apply research and data insights to your content and test iterations to improve the experience.
• Strong project planning, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across global teams.
• Experience working with design systems is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with AI-driven content creation and digital experiences.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
