Job Description Job Description : This role offers an opportunity to work on US Equity Control project within regulatory reporting & compliance space.US Equity Control project (OATS, Blue Sheet etc..) has suites of applications covering various aspects of transactions and other dealings with securities. It includes applications for both federal and non-federal US regulatory agencies. These applications are used for regulation or supervision, which subjects financial institutions to certain requirements, restrictions and guidelines, aiming to maintain the integrity of the financial system. Order Audit Trail System (OATS) delivers daily feeds to FINRA, an external regulatory agency, that uses this information to detect potential malpractice. Blue Sheet delivers reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) on a demand basis covering the SEC s rule(s) and these reports are highly time critical in nature. Applications are built using Scripting languages (Perl, Shell, C++ ), using diverse databases such as Oracle, Sybase IQ/AES, Hive, Spark etc. Required Skills Hands on experience on Perl programming, Unix Commands. Good Understanding on Databases (SQL & PL SQL development). Analysis and coordination towards servicing of end user system inquiries from business and legal. Strong understanding of System Support, Debugging and Analytical skills. Preferred understanding of equities trading systems and experience working in similar environment. Monitor system performance on a daily basis to ensure production applications are up and running. Experience working on multi-platform environments including Linux and Windows. Self-starter, well-organized and team player. Provide support to application programmers and other CS internal departments as necessary. Decent knowledge of Job monitoring & scheduling using tools like Autosys, Control M etc. Should be willing to work in US overlapping hours.
