Job Summary

  • Manage the Application Engineers (LDA) who will launch/qualify new inflator configurations at ICI.
  • Plan and execute qualification plans for inflator lines and products.
  • Work with Inflator Global Design Authority (GDA) on:
    • Launch and qualification of components.
    • Review and release BOMs and drawings of assemblies and components. Verify clarity, completeness, conformity to standards and specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
    • Qualify product improvements.
    • Support AS7 Change Management with testing and/or review of testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge & experience of PLM (Enovia) and solid modeling.
  • Active participation & Collaborate with ICI Cross-Functional Team incl. Project Management, Purchase, Quality, Suppliers, production, etc.,
  • Participate & Conduct prototype/vehicle trials and liaison for the necessary modifications to meet the product requirements
  • Participate & lead in problem/failure analysis during lab / vehicle testing/assembly (G8D Approach)
  • Visit the customers/Supplier visits for project discussion/trials/failure analysis, etc.,
  • Liaison & represent in Global Team as necessary
  • Design and develop Airbag inflators for the passenger cars/SUVs/MUVs
  • 3D CAD & 2D Drawing freeze/release, Design Review, DFMEA, DFM & A, BOM, DVP, Test order release, Test report evaluation, PLM updated/uploading, etc.,
  • Proto parts build support
  • Liaison with test lab for the product testing
  • Compliance / adherence of the Engineering time plan
