Who You Will Work With:
This position is based at the BCN's Gurgaon office and plays a crucial role in the Performance Improvement Center of Expertise (PI CoE). The PI CoE works directly with case teams across Bain s global network, delivering advanced analytics solutions and cost-reduction strategies for clients across industries. Our work spans across areas such as Procurement, Zero-based Budgeting, Supply Chain Optimization, Cost Diagnostics, and Post Merger Integration (PMI).
The PI CoE helps clients achieve their performance improvement goals by analyzing their data and generating actionable insights. The team uses advanced visualizations and analytical tools, such as Power BI and Tableau, to deliver high-quality, client-ready solutions. Additionally, the PI CoE is involved in the creation of valuable intellectual property (IP) for Bain s performance improvement initiatives globally.
What You ll Do:
- Project Ownership & Case Delivery:
- Take ownership of complex case deliverables related to performance improvement, specifically in the Supply Chain and Operations domains. Manage project workstreams and ensure timely delivery of actionable solutions.
- Data Analysis & Research:
- Perform analytics on client supply chain data, with a focus on inventory management, network optimization, and demand planning. Use advanced tools and internal repositories to extract insights and develop strategies for improvement.
- Client-Ready Deliverables:
- Deliver client-ready documents that contain clear, implementable solutions. Provide insights that drive decision-making and strategic initiatives for clients.
- Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead individual project workstreams, managing 1-2 aligned analysts. Guide and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with both the BCN team and end clients, building strong relationships and communicating complex ideas clearly.
- Tool Proficiency:
- Leverage tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and Llamasoft SCG to conduct detailed data analysis and create dynamic visualizations that bring insights to life.
- Industry Expertise:
- Develop expertise in key supply chain domains such as safety stock optimization, demand planning, and supply planning. Use your knowledge to guide clients through cost reduction initiatives and operational improvements.
About You:
- Educational Background:
- Graduate degree (preferably in engineering, science, commerce, business, or economics).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations, or data analytics.
- Alternatively, MBA/Post-Graduate with 1-3 years of relevant experience in supply chain/operations/data analytics.
- Domain Knowledge & Analytical Skills:
- Strong understanding of supply chain concepts, such as inventory optimization, network optimization, demand planning, and supply planning.
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis, project management, and team leadership.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with tools like Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and Llamasoft SCG for data analysis and visualization.
- Consulting/Industry Experience:
- Experience working in consulting or the industry related to supply chain or operations is highly preferred.
- Leadership & Communication Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders (managers, partners, and clients).
- Proven ability to mentor and coach analysts and work collaboratively in a team environment.
